The Double-Wedge is the world's first 'pull' wedge. An essential part of the Triodent Tri-Clip, on its own it can be used with most matrix band systems and is remarkably versatile. The wedge is stretched then 'flossed' into the embrasure before cavity preparation and matrix placement.
The Double-Wedge has uses as a gingival and rubber dam protector in Class II's, as a haemostat agent, as a wedge for retainerless matrix bands, as a tooth separator and as a tool for maintaining a dry field. It can also be used to hold the Mylar strip when restoring anterior Class III's, preventing overhanging margins and the need for polishing strips.
