This photo shows the quality of proximal contact that can easily be achieved with a Tri-Clip. The upper bicuspid has a DO composite restoration.

Here is another bicuspid DO restoration with a tight contact.

This photo shows a Tri-Clip being used in a wide cavity where most of the buccal cusp is missing.
Here is a small cavity with a narrow embrasure. The Tri-Wedge went through with the matrix. Sometimes using a rolling moving from the buccal or lingual of the Tri-Clip assists placement when the contact is small.

Here the mesial of an upper bicuspid is being restored using a Tri-Clip. Note that this is very difficult (if not impossible) with other sectional matrix systems as the retainer spring jumps off. The flexibility of the Tri-Wedge helps the matrix to adapt to the canine fossa depression on the bicuspid.

This photo shows a Mylar Supermat band being wedged with two Tri-Wedges. Note the blanching of the inter-proximal gingival tissues caused by the tourniquet-like pressure of the Tri-Wedge. Total haemostasis is the norm when wedging with Tri-Wedges.

Here the kind of composite restorations (MOD buccal cusp on second bicuspid) that can be achieved with 0.002" Mylar bands if Tri-Wedges are used. Prior to using Tri-Wedges, we had little success in obtaining tight contacts when using with Mylar bands.

Tri-Clips work surprisingly well in primary teeth.
Tri-Wedges are used to retain rubber-dam and keep it away from high-speed burs!
They also act like orthodontic separators since they are elastic, and therefore, the longer it is in place, the greater the separation.
Tri-Wedges are excellent as rubber-dam retainers and one size fits all.
