Triodent products continue to be recognised for their excellence by independent evaluators. In recent weeks the new Griptab indirect restoration handling aid was awarded Recommended Product status by Dental Product Shopper (DPS).

In the DPS evaluation, one dentist who was accustomed to using glue-tipped sticks declared the Griptab much better. His favorite feature was the security of the bond during use and the ease of removal when seating was finished.

A prosthodontist who also loved the Griptab said: "It helps a lot to hold small inlays and onlays with ease while etching and applying Silane and resin composite cement, especially for someone like me with big fingers ... great idea!" One doctor added that the ability to rotate the restoration on the end of the Triodent Pin-Tweezers was "a wonderful feature".

The Griptab also picked up a four-star rating from The Dental Advisor.

In both instances a handful of evaluators criticized the product for taking up time, but Triodent CEO Simon McDonald's response is that if the Griptabs are attached to restorations by a staff member before the patient arrives, they will in fact save time.

Meanwhile the V3 continues to win accolades, this time in Dentistry Today's list of Top 100 products for 2010.
